Job Call for Demography | Boğaziçi University
The Department of Sociology at Boğaziçi University invites applications for a full-time faculty position at any rank in the field of demography, beginning in Fall 2027.
The successful candidate must hold a PhD in sociology or demography at the time of appointment. We seek applicants with a strong foundation in quantitative methods, a publication record commensurate with experience, a well-developed research agenda, and demonstrated teaching experience in English.
We particularly encourage applications in, but not limited to, the following substantive areas:
- Fertility and reproductive health
- Family demography
- Population health
- Age and aging
We are an interdisciplinary department with diverse interests and methodologies. In addition to sociology, our faculty members conduct research in related disciplines such as anthropology, history, political science, and political economy. Our department is strongly committed to equality and values diversity.
