Dr. Zühre Emanet is the author of The Politics of Education in Turkey: Islam, Neoliberalism and Gender (I.B. Tauris Bloomsbury Publishing, 2023). A former primary school English teacher, she holds a PhD in Gender Studies from School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London and specializes in gender studies, with research interests including politics of education, sociology of education, comparative education, gender and education, and neoliberal reform in education.
